Point

High-speed cutting with R0.75mm ball end mill was performed on plastic mold steel: PD613 (56HRC). Also, a cutting comparison between a machining center built-in spindle (20,000min⁻¹) and 60,000min⁻¹ flange spindle “BMF-3160” (42,000min⁻¹) was conducted.

≪Points≫.
Nakanishi spindle (60,000min⁻¹ flange spindle: BMF-3160) realizes high-precision, high-speed cutting with a small diameter end mill. Compared to the machine’s built-in spindle (conventional conditions), the high-speed rotation more than doubles the feed rate and reduces machining time by 50%!
